**Job Summary:**

As a vital member of our Delivery department, you'll be the captain of the asphalt, delivering merchandise, materials, and equipment to our valued customers. Safety is our priority, and your role will involve driving and performing safety procedures with commercial vehicles weighing over 26,001 lbs. **Key Responsibilities:**

- Navigate the highways with finesse, ensuring timely deliveries and pick-ups.

- Load and unload cargo with precision and care.

- Safely secure cargo, possibly involving the use of tarps.

- Perform daily vehicle inspections to keep our trucks roadworthy and safe.

- Keep those wheels turning by using electronic logging devices.

- Report any traffic incidents or vehicle issues promptly.

- Become a master at reading bills of lading and manifests.

- Double-check load-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.

- Embrace our safety protocols to ensure everyone's well-being.

- Ready for some overnight adventures? This role may require it.

- And of course, any other duties assigned by our supportive management team.

**Qualifications:**

- 0-5 years of relevant experience or a mix of education and experience that equips you for the job.

- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience, ideally with relevant cargo.

- A High School diploma or GED would be a plus.

- Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for the assigned vehicle type.

- Successfully pass a road test – you've got this!

- Meet our company's insurability standards.

- Comply with FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse requirements.

- Satisfy all driver qualification requirements according to Federal regulations (49 CFR part 391).

- Your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) should meet our quality criteria, as defined by Federal regulations and/or company policy.

- Keep a clean record – no drug violations over the past 5 years, and proof of completion of a certified SAP program for violations over 5 years old.

- Basic knowledge of laws and regulations governing interstate transportation.

- Strong reading and comprehension skills for following instructions.

- Basic math skills for measurements of length, width, height, and weight.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with our team and customers.

- Make sound decisions based on your knowledge, experience, and judgment.
